Mauricio es nuestro l\u00edder, quien lleva trabajando en Casita Mia de Mita 17 de los 22 a\u00f1os que tiene de vida este hotel boutique. Lo que a Mauricio le gusta m\u00e1s de Casita Mia de Mita es el ambiente tranquilo del hotel. Le gusta ver a los hu\u00e9spedes disfrutar de las instalaciones y del servicio que reciben; adem\u00e1s siempre siente mucha satisfacci\u00f3n porque ve a los clientes despedirse muy contentos y con ganas de regresar.<\/p><p>A Memo lo encontrar\u00e1s en el bar, el coctel que m\u00e1s le piden se llama Nube blanca, y est\u00e1 hecho a base de agua de coco, crema de coco, ron y vodka de mango. \u00bfSe te antoja? Es el coctel favorito por su sabor fresco y su efecto relajante. Cuando Memo est\u00e1 en el pool bar los hu\u00e9spedes disfrutan tanto de sus mezclas, como de su compa\u00f1\u00eda.<\/p><p>Gonzalo, como jefe de cocina de nuestro incre\u00edble y talentoso equipo de chefs, siempre est\u00e1 ansioso por sorprenderlo con sus creaciones. Uno de sus platos favoritos para preparar es la langosta a la parrilla porque a los invitados les encanta. La mantequilla, el ajo asado, el lim\u00f3n, el chile y las hierbas lo hacen simplemente delicioso. The entire staff Carlos, Charlie, Memo Manuel, Lalo ( forgive me if I forgot someone), the housekeeping and beach staff all make this property stand out. As a guest, there is nothing that won't be done to ensure you are well taken care of. A lounge chair, beach chair and dining table all are available whenever you want. The food is excellent with a wonderful selection. I personally enjoyed drinking the selection of Mexican wine. A stay here is like going to a large private home with a full staff to wait on you. The pictures and reviews are very accurate. We have been to many other large AI resorts in Mexico and we enjoy those very much but this hotel is on another level. The food is so good, like it's special made just for you and fresh every time. On our first day I mentioned that my wife really liked sea bass. The last night we were there they served sea bass for her. That's just one example of the service here. Carlos, Jonathan, Lalo, Memo and Manuel and everyone there go above and beyond to make sure you are taken care of. I can't say enough about them and hope to see them again soon. The rooms are wonderfully decorated and comfortable and the views from the balcony are perfect. Don't come here expecting foam pool parties and loud music, but if you want to completely unwind, unplug and relax while being waited on by the best staff and eating delicious food this is the place for you. Mauricio does a great job managing and was very helpful in our planning of the trip quickly answering any questions I had. This is a special place and I hope we get back there soon. This is a fabulous getaway. The hotel rooms and public spaces are refreshingly unique - a welcome departure from conventional five star facilities. Each room is different and each is carefully and creatively curated. The public spaces share that same unique aesthetic and offer a variety of opportunities to read, relax, sip a tequila and, of course bask in the sun. The pool area is quiet with several different accommodations for lounging from chaise lounges to private pergolas. My wife and I prefer to stay on the beach which sits directly in front of the hotel - an umbrella, loungers and towels are always set up for us when we arrive after breakfast. The food is consistently delicious. There are multiple dishes available at breakfast, lunch and dinner and if nothing meets your fancy, the chef will go out of his\/her way to make sure you are happy. The place and the food alone would make this a five star destination, however, it is the people of Casita Mia de Mita that make this place truly outstanding and memorable - it keeps us coming back at least once every year. Mauricio, Lalo, Memo, Manuel, Carlitos, Carlos, Jonathan and, of course, Arturo are the most wonderful people you will ever meet at a hotel. The landscape and housekeeping people are always courteous, quick to meet whatever request you have and keep the hotel in good order. We consider them all family. And of course I can't forget Madison and Lucas (the canine crew) who are equally wonderful. From the moment you arrive you are welcomed, pampered, humored and attended to in a fashion that gives you privacy as well as service. It doesn't get any better. Wildly comfortable, quiet, and situated with prime access to a beautiful beach. We were totally blown away from the moment we walked in. Beautiful architecture, luxurious rooms, a cozy pool with multiple comfortable lounge areas, delicious food and drink, but above all else, thoughtful, kind, friendly service and hospitality. Everyone on staff was welcoming, accommodating, and urgent to take care of any needs we had. A small but useful gym, gorgeous pool with a swim-up bar, day beds, board games, puzzles. We did our research and chose Casita Mia de Mita over the Four Seasons and St. Regis. The reviews were spot on. This boutique hotel offers luxurious rooms and fine dining with the best ocean views. The entire staff was friendly and helpful. The food was fresh and delicious. We started each day with a long walk along the beach, followed by a tasty brunch. We ended each day enjoying the chef's dessert. Why not 5 stars? For 5-star hotels, we're used to having the concierge reach out to us 3-4 weeks in advance to set up any reservations - meals, activities, etc. - for our stay. This hotel didn't do that, so I reached out 3 weeks ahead of time. After several rounds of emails over the few weeks, I still wasn't sure what, if anything, had been scheduled properly. Not until we arrived onsite did we learn that our requests had been addressed. Tip: The best way to get around is by taxi. The hotel can help schedule from\/to the airport, plus local trips to town. For those of you looking for busy, activity-filled breaks, this is probably not the place for you. But for those of you looking for a quiet and relaxing location to read books, listen to the surf, enjoy the ocean, eat and drink to your heart's content, and disconnect, then I am not sure there is a better place in North America to visit. As others have written, the excellent staff largely remain the same over the past two decades, and they all do great work. From the Argentinian chef Gonzalo to the evening staff of brothers Lalo & Memo plus Manuel, to the morning staff of Carlos, Musio and Fernando, and the cleaning staff, I can only offer praise. And enjoying Madison and Lucas the dogs only makes it feel more like a home (as does the Tequila bar after a nice dinner). It is entertaining to watch the folks who come in and are dead-set on leaving the location to visit nearby cities or golf courses or even other hotels, only to return and wish they had just stayed and relaxed. We've gone fishing, whale watching, snorkeling, and all other things, but find that the best place, particularly during the hotter months of the rainy season, is at the hotel.
